APE CANAVERAL, Fla. — Space shuttle Atlantis was fueled Monday for one last flight to the Hubble Space Telescope, an extraordinarily ambitious repair mission that NASA hopes will lift the celebrated observatory to new scientific heights.

The seven astronauts who will attempt the complicated job were up before dawn, eager to get started after waiting seven months to fly. Their flight was delayed last fall, two weeks before the scheduled launch, after the orbiting telescope failed.

Near perfect weather was forecast for the afternoon liftoff. NASA also was keeping an eye on the weather at the emergency landing strip in Spain, where there was a slight chance of rain.

As the sun rose in a clear sky, NASA finished loading Atlantis' big external fuel tank. No serious problems were being tracked, and the Hubble scientists and managers were euphoric to finally be so close to liftoff.

Nearly 30,000 people were expected at Kennedy Space Center for the launch _ scheduled for just after 2 p.m. EDT _ including space center workers and guests.

The 19-year-old Hubble, last visited by astronauts seven years ago, is way overdue for a tuneup.

On this fifth and final repair mission, Atlantis' crew will replace Hubble's batteries and gyroscopes, install two new cameras and take a crack at fixing two broken science instruments, something never before attempted. Those instruments, loaded with bolts and fasteners, were not designed to be tinkered with in space.

They also will remove the command and data-handling unit that failed in September and had to be revived, and put in a spare that was hustled into operation. Fresh insulating covers will be added to the outside of the telescope, and a new fine guidance sensor for pointing will be hooked up.

What is Swine Influenza?

Swine Influenza or swine flu is a respiratory disease of pigs caused by type A influenza virus that regularly causes outbreaks of influenza in pigs. Swine flu viruses cause high levels of illness and low death rates in pigs. Swine influenza viruses may circulate among swine throughout the year, but most outbreaks occur during the late fall and winter months similar to outbreaks in humans. The classical swine flu virus (an influenza type A H1N1 virus) was first isolated from a pig in 1930.

Swine Flu or Influenza Symptoms

How To Know if You Have H1N1 Flu or Swine Flu?

Your respiratory illness might be the flu if you have sudden onset of body aches, high fever, and respiratory symptoms, and your illness occurs during the usual flu season in the Northern Hemisphere. However, during this time, other respiratory illnesses can cause similar symptoms to the flu. In addition, influenza can also occur outside of the typical flu season. It is impossible to tell for sure if you have the flu based on symptoms alone. Doctors can perform tests to see if you have the flu if you are in the first few days of your illness.

Flu is a serious disease and it's important to take action to protect yourself. If you do get sick, however, there are steps you can take to treat the flu.

How can human infections with swine influenza be diagnosed?

To diagnose swine influenza A infection, a respiratory specimen would generally need to be collected within the first 4 to 5 days of illness (when an infected person is most likely to be shedding virus). However, some persons, especially children, may shed virus for 7 days or longer. Identification as a swine flu influenza A virus requires sending the specimen to CDC for laboratory testing.

What medications are available to treat swine flu infections in humans?

There are four different antiviral drugs that are licensed for use in the US for the treatment of influenza:

- amantadine
- rimantadine
- oseltamivir
- zanamivir

While most swine influenza viruses have been susceptible to all four drugs, the most recent H1N1 influenza viruses isolated from humans are resistant to amantadine and rimantadine.

How to protect or prevent oneself from getting infected?

There is currently no vaccine available yet to protect against swine flu. For now, these steps can help protect your health:

- Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze. Throw the tissue in the trash after you use it.
- Wash your hands often with soap and water, especially after you cough or sneeze. Alcohol-based hand cleaners are also effective.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth because germs spread this way.
- Stay in good general health. Get plenty of sleep, be physically active, manage your stress, drink plenty of fluids, and eat nutritious food.
- Try to avoid close contact with sick people.
- If you get sick with influenza, stay home and limit contact with others to keep from infecting them.

Comedian Kyle Dunnigan brought his comedy stylings to the Washburn Room of the Memorial Union on Tuesday night.

Dunnigan's act is a mixture of observational comedy, characters and comedic songs.

"I like to mix it up with a little guitar or something," said Dunnigan.

Dunnigan tackled topics ranging from the absurdity of "Cash for Gold" advertisements, to the difficulty men have removing their socks before sex without appearing unsexy to their partners.

To keep things interesting, Kyle Dunnigan interacted with audience members throughout the show, often singling out people who stood out in some way.

Audience member Heather Gelsinger was sitting next to the entrance in a lounge chair she brought in from the hallway. Dunnigan comedically chided Gelsinger for her laid-back appearance because she was wearing slippers to the show and typing on a lap top.

"It was awesome," said Gelsinger. "I didn't know what to say. I'm pretty sure I was red in the face."

John Larsen and Garrett Love were late to the show because of an evening Spanish class. Despite entering through the back door and taking seats in the back row, Dunnigan called them out and asked why they were late.

"Spanish class," said Larsen, yelling from the back row.

"Banjo class?" said Kyle Dunnigan, having not understood Larsen's reply.

"No, Spanish," said Larsen. He then yelled back to Dunnigan in Spanish.

"I told him he wasn't funny, in Spanish," said Larsen after the show.

Even this publication was subject to Dunnigan's comedy. When he noticed a photographer from the Washburn Review taking photographs, he asked what the photos were for. The photographer replied that she was with the Washburn Review, the student newspaper.

"The Washburn Review? I fuckin' hate that paper," said Dunnigan, in a joking tone.

Dunnigan's first attempt at stand-up comedy was during a high school talent show. That performance led to his suspension from school after his use of the word "penis." He studied improv and sketch comedy for many years before seriously pursuing stand-up again.

Dunnigan has performed his stand-up act on "Comedy Central Presents," "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" and "The Late, Late Show with Craig Ferguson." He has acted in "Cedric the Entertainer Presents," "Reno 911!" and "Howie Do It."

In November, Dunnigan filmed episodes for the new season of "Reno 911!" which began Wednesday. He is also in negotiations with Hardees restaurants to bring back the commercials for milkshakes in which he shakes a cow.

Dunnigan is currently performing at comedy clubs and universities.

"Performing at colleges can be scary," said Kyle Dunnigan. "You never know where they're going to set you up."

After decades of searching, scientists have finally discovered where basking sharks—the world’s second largest fish— go in the wintertime.

According to experts, these gigantic creatures, which grow up to 35 feet long, make vast migrations to deep, warm-water hideouts.

They swim all the way from New England to the Bahamas and across the equator to South America. Researchers have long thought that basking sharks spent all of their time in cooler waters.

“This is equivalent to finding polar bears in Kansas,” Discovery News quoted marine biologist Greg Skomal as saying. “This was a mind-blowing discovery for us.”

Like most large fish, basking sharks are difficult to keep track of because they rarely come to the surface. To learn more, Skomal and his team attached complicated tracking devices and satellite technology to 25 basking sharks off the coast of Cape Cod, Massachusetts.

Once each tag was attached to a shark, it collected data on depth, temperature and light levels for a preprogrammed amount of time — from 12 days to more than a year. When its time was up, the device popped off the animal and sent its data back to the researchers.

Skomal and colleagues were surprised when they first received a signal from the tagged sharks coming from the waters of the Southern Hemisphere. Other locations included the Sargasso Sea, the Puerto Rico Trench, and the Guyana coast.

It’s still not clear why some basking sharks travel such great distances. Skomal suspects that tropical waters aid with reproduction, by offering a safer nursery habitat, a better food supply, or warmer conditions for pregnant sharks and their newborns.

BOLINGBROOK – Authorities arrested Drew Peterson on Thursday near his Bolingbrook home after he was indicted for the murder of his third wife, Kathleen Savio.

"I guess I should have returned those library books," a hand-cuffed Peterson said Thursday evening as he was being led into state police headquarters.

Police took Peterson into custody at Weber and Lilly Cache roads during a traffic stop at about 5:30 p.m.

“The charge right now is the murder of Kathleen Savio,” said Illinois State Police Lt. Carl Anderson.

Savio, 40, was found dead in a dry bathtub in her Bolingbrook home in March 2004.

Jon, for his part, has vehemently denied claims that he is cheating on his wife.

So does Deanna, who told PEOPLE on Wednesday that her older brother — a convicted felon — sold the story to Us Weekly in exchange for a big payday.

She insists that she and Jon are only friends.

“My brother is making this all up,” Hummel told PEOPLE. “He has no credibility … I can’t even stomach the lies he’s saying about me.” “My brother is very shady,” she added. “He has no job. He has a criminal background. He was charged for drug distribution. He’s on probation right now.”

Jason Hummel, 28, claims he overheard his sister having sex with the married reality star.

“I’m so hurt that he put my occupation out there. He has put my job in jeopardy. I can’t take my kids to recess without worrying that people will come up and harass me and the other teachers. It’s not fair.”

In February, a group of Pennsylvania college coeds accused the TV pop of skirt-chasing behind Kate’s back. He was even alleged to have told the perky twentysomethings that he and Kate were in the middle of a divorce. Since this is the second time Jon has been accused of stepping out on his family, we’re not sure what to make of the most recent allegations.

Back when I first began following racing in the 1990s, one of the many brother combinations I would see in the Busch Series races were the Grubbs -- Kevin and Wayne.

In eight seasons in the Nationwide series, Kevin Grubb ran 174 races, earned 10 top-5 finishes and had 32 top-10 runs, and earned 1 pole position. He was by no means a standout, but was a capable racecar driver living his dream in NASCAR, learning a living doing what he loved.

Then, sadly, drugs took over. He failed a substance abuse test in 2004 and was suspended by NASCAR. In 2006, back racing once again, he refused to take a drug test after a wreck at Richmond. That was the last time he raced.

Kevin Grubb was found dead Wednesday at the age of 31, in a motel near Richmond, Va. No cause of death has been announced and no foul play is suspected. But even though nothing has been said, I’d bet a few dollars that drugs are a likely culprit.

While I never knew Kevin, things like this are a good lesson and a good example of how fickle life can be. You can be a NASCAR driver racing for the fans one moment, and someone with a deadly habit the next.

My thoughts are with the Grubb family, who are no doubt struggling to deal with the loss of Kevin at such a young age.

Popular Mechanics says the i-house "looks like a house you'd order from IKEA, sounds like something designed by Apple and consists of amenities--solar panels, tankless water heaters and rainwater collectors--that one would expect to come from an offbeat green company out of California selling to a high-end market." But the much-anticipated house, which Clayton claims is at least 30% more energy-efficient than traditional homes, is perhaps the most affordable option for a low-carbon lifestyle, with monthly energy costs of under $70.

The house comes in two packages: the $74,900, 723-square-foot i-house I, and the $93,300, 1,023-square-foot i-house II. Both homes can be configured in at least seven different ways and come with a number of standard features, including galvanized metal roofing, corrugated steel siding, a butterfly roof with rainwater collection, and non-VOC paints. Customers can also tack on solar panels, tankless water heaters, and low-flow faucets for a price.



Clayton's i-house will likely be attractive to first-time home buyers due to its low price, but the modular home could also appeal to anyone searching for a cheap, energy-efficient vacation home. The company, which has sold 1.5 million homes since its start in 1934, expects to sell 2,000 i-houses per year within 18 months of its launch.
